We’re excited to announce a new Meetup that Elabor8ers are running in Sydney.
Last month, marked the first year of our Sydney team. We decided to use this milestone to reflect on how best we could continue our support for the development of Sydney’s Agile community.
Here at Elabor8 we understand the challenges when growing a high-performance Enterprise together with a healthy organisational culture.
The new Meetup will act as a forum for Agile Coaches where they can share their learnings and debate the complex problems of businesses. This group’s mission is to help grow a community of Change Agents keen to enable organisations to be competitive in a fast-changing economy, helping them to coach their team to high-performance while still caring about people’s happiness.
The monthly Meetup will take a unique approach in how it is run. Rather than being a traditional speaker driven Meetup, its organisers are advocating a new form of emergent learning practices that allow the knowledge to emerge from the group. The Meetup will leverage facilitators and content curators to ensure each session runs smoothly.
“As the Agile Market continues to mature, grow and evolve the coaching discipline needs to follow. The team feels that should be a community conversation. I look forward to seeing how the conversation grows through this Meetup”.
Jody Podbury, Head of Delivery Services for Sydney, Elabor8
Marcio Sete will be leading this Meetup, Marcio was a key member of the Agile community in Brazil before crossing the pacific to join our Elabor8 family. He is now looking forward to bringing his energy to the Australian Agile community. We’re also excited Peter Lee, Agile Coach at Campaign Monitor will continue as a co-organiser, after his considerable efforts in helping to set up this group.
“The goal of this Meetup is to create a regular space for advanced agile practitioners to come together, co-create and co-explore different real life problems. As a starting point this first Meetup will be a co-creation exercise where we will use a couple of canvases to help kick us off. We are keen to see how the work evolves and shifts, so we will actively encourage your participation in driving change.”

“Campaign Monitor is a strong believer in Agile, hence it is a privilege for us to support a community initiative that promotes a better way of building software. We have benefited a lot from the Agile community in the past. Supporting this Agile Coach Meetup is a small way for us to give back to the community”.
Herry Wiputra, CTO, Campaign Monitor
The Inaugural Welcome Session for the Sydney Agile Coach group will take place on Tuesday, May 3. As part of the first Meetup, there will be a special commemorative gift for all active participants of the event – (it’s something practical that you will be able to use going forward).
